You Are Not AloneIn a world ruled by diet culture and fatphobia, it is easy to feel alone. These systems tell us that we need to shape ourselves to conform to standards that are unrealistic and often harmful. They are good at telling us that the ways we’ve survived are wrong or shameful.
These systems disconnect us from our own innate knowing about food and what makes sense for our bodies and for our health. It makes sense that you might be feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from your own hunger cues. Perhaps you feel confused by the conflicting information you read about what it means to be healthy. |
The good news is that you are not alone.
