A Letter Writing Workshop for Therapists and Other Medical Providers
Have you been wanting to live into your values around supporting trans and nonbinary communities?
In this two and a half hour workshop we will learn, grow and practice together to do just that! Historically, medical providers have served as gatekeepers for folks receiving the life and gender affirming care we need and deserve. If we want to show up and support trans people we must critically look at our own role in this history. In a safe, nonjudgmental environment you will have the space to ask questions, and explore what it means to be a gate opener for trans and nonbinary folks. You will leave with clarity about:
About the Facilitators:
Elliot Sweet, MA, LMFT is a white transmasc nonbinary clinician who works with trans and nonbinary folks in their private practice. They are excited to support other clinicians in providing trans competent care. When Elliot isn't doing therapy they love to write and ride their motorcycle to get bubble tea. Pronouns: they/them/theirs Brooke Stepp, MS, CN, LMHC is a mixed-race, nonbinary femme somatic therapist and nutritionist who centers queer, trans, black, indigenous people of color in their work. Brooke loves to support the growth and development of other clinicians towards the collective liberation of all peoples.
