Laura works with people of all identities to reclaim their inherent dignity, access their inner resources, and find greater alignment with what they care about. By listening deeply to the wisdom of the body, Laura supports clients to connect with desire, restore boundaries, and find personal power. Through compassionate listening and mindfulness practice, Laura supports clients to bring their story to life and re-write the narratives that prevent healing and growth.
Laura engages clients who long to integrate personal healing with collective liberation and realign actions with values. With experience inside of social justice movements, Laura acknowledges the ways that this political moment shapes our experiences of our bodies and of ourselves. She is particularly passionate about working at the intersection of privilege and oppression, and helping clients access healing in all their identities. Laura works with other white folks to both challenge and support their growth in transforming white supremacy. In addition, she holds her work with people of color within a frame of humility and accountability.
Laura identifies as a white, Ashkenazi Jewish woman, born and raised in Seattle. From the mountains to the Salish Sea, she feels most centered when spending time in nature, connecting to spirituality, and working in local organizing for racial justice. Laura has lived in Spain and South America and has been deeply impacted by her time spent outside of the US. She is most joyful when traveling and eating all the delicious food the world has to offer.
Credentials and Education: Laura is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) in the state of Washington. Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from University of Washington. She went on to obtain her Master’s of Education in Counseling from Seattle University. Laura is committed to lifelong learning and enjoys attending trainings and workshops, especially around topics of climate justice, anti-oppression work, collective organizing, spirituality, and somatic healing.
