Get Started
Pronouns: They/Them/Theirs

With a fierce heart for body liberation, Eza accompanies clients on their journey of reclaiming joy, pleasure, and peace with oneself. Eza supports clients of all identities and sizes to (re)awaken to their resilience, heal trauma, and reclaim their inherent wisdom and connection to their bodies. Eza understands the traumatic and oppressive conditions we live inside of push us to disconnect from our bodies: the home to our needs, boundaries, and desires. They believe that communities most impacted by trauma and oppression, often turn toward coping mechanisms such as eating disorders and disordered eating as smart, adaptive survival strategies. Eza knows that repairing our relationship with our bodies and food offers more space for intimacy and belonging with ourselves and those we love.

Deeply believing we all deserve to rebuild trust and connection with our bodies, Eza partners with clients to identify and heal roots of disconnection through somatic awareness and mindfulness practices. They understand body liberation is a nonlinear healing journey and center clients’ strengths and resilience through the ups and downs. Their approach to healing eating disorders and disordered eating is rooted in the Health at Every Size (HAES), Body TrustⓇ, and fat liberation models.

Eza acknowledges how vital it is, particularly in this political moment, to create healing spaces that are transparent, open, and nonjudgmental. They know until those living in queer, trans, non-binary, BIPOC, fat, low income, and chronically sick/disabled bodies can heal, we cannot envision collective liberation for all. Eza holds their work with people of color within a framework of humility, accountability, and repair.

Eza comes to Have Heart with experience weaving social justice into their healing work with clients in residential and partial hospitalization eating disorder treatment programs, integrated behavioral health, and providing grief and loss support to families of organ donors. They are an advocate and activist for body liberation, in all of  the spaces they inhabit.

Eza is a white, queer, non-binary, trans-masc, neurodivergent, (smaller-mid) fat, disabled politicized healer who believes therapy is an opportunity to focus on (re)connecting to mind, body, and spirit. When they are not engaged in healing work, Eza enjoys spending time with their two dogs, going on nature walks, spending time with friends and family, and adding to their ever growing plant collection.

Credentials and Education: Eza is a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) in the state of Washington. They earned a Bachelor of Psychology, with a Minor in Sociology, from Central Washington University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. Being a politicized healer requires lifelong learning and Eza is committed to deepening their knowledge and understanding of social issues to better support their clients. They are currently in the process of becoming a Body TrustⓇ Provider.

Eza works with adults and offers counseling in English.
