Pronouns: she/her/hers
Becca partners with clients to center their identities, stories, and experiences that impact and shape how we move through the world as embodied emotional creatures. Becca particularly enjoys working with teens and young adults who identify as queer, trans, and gender diverse. She believes that deep healing work aims to connect mind with body. This might mean processing or tending to harm that has been experienced, working through relational struggles, receiving affirmation as we dig into your identity, or having a listening ear along another type of journey. Becca is honored to work with clients in holding the complexity of who they are.
Becca became a therapist because she believes that healing is a collective journey, meaning that we heal through relationships. She is a politicized healer who holds space to talk about oppression, marginalization, privilege, and collective liberation. As a somatic therapist, she believes that healing looks like a body and a mind that are connected, integrating the many parts of who we are so that we can move from space-to-space as our full selves. Connecting to who we are often allows us more space to connect with others through healthy relationships. She knows that each of us deserves to feel connected to ourselves and to others.
Outside of work, she is rejuvenated by the outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, cycling, and wandering around. She also enjoys cooking and feeding others, learning new crafts, reading, and watching tv with her cats.
Credentials and Education: Becca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington. She earned a BA from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
