Pronouns: they/them/theirs
Becca partners with clients to center their identities, stories, and experiences that impact and shape how we move through the world as embodied emotional creatures. Becca particularly enjoys working with teens and young adults who identify as queer, trans, and gender diverse. They believe that deep healing work aims to connect mind with body. This might mean processing or tending to harm that has been experienced, working through relational struggles, receiving affirmation as we dig into your identity, or having a listening ear along another type of journey. Becca is honored to work with clients in holding the complexity of who they are.
Becca became a therapist because they believe that healing is a collective journey, meaning that we heal through relationships. They are a politicized healer who holds space to talk about oppression, marginalization, privilege, and collective liberation.
As a somatic therapist, they believe that healing looks like a body and a mind that are connected, integrating the many parts of who we are so that we can move from space-to-space as our full selves. Connecting to who we are often allows us more space to connect with others through healthy relationships. They know that each of us deserves to feel connected to ourselves and to others. Outside of work, Becca is rejuvenated by the outdoors. They love hiking, camping, cycling, and wandering around. They also enjoy cooking and feeding others, learning new crafts, reading, and watching tv with their cats.
Credentials and Education: Becca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington. They earned a BA from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
